the saving "Painter saves NCSA MAP, CERN MAP" as it uses these maps,
and you have to use one or the other, plus the jpg.

or even have your own site, do you?
Could you have accidentally turned that feature on without knowing it?
I wonder if the dots are like those annoying slice numbers that you can
accidentally turn on in Adobe products

I didn't want, or plan this, it's the way, this old Painter saves
jpg's, with one of these stupid, maps, either 1 or 2, no way out. Even
tho, this vs. of Painter is primitive, it has brushes, that PSP can't
touch.

Read that page again--- I don't think you DO have to have the maps...
Maps, according to that page at least, only apply to IMAGE MAPS
used for web work. It might be an optional setting someplace odd...
I don't have that version of Painter so I can't give you specifics as
to where to look
Yes, Painter has nice brushes. It is an excellent focused tool for painting.
PSP is a different kettle of fish entirely. Comparing the two is
like saying "this boat is faster than that car"-- well, that could be true
under some circumstances, but there are places you can't go in a car that
the boat will take you--- and vice versa.
Did you ever read that Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator book I
recommended?
You can substitute PSP for much of the Photoshop and Illustrator work.

Bottom line, as I don't have time, or resources, for a lot of talk or
reading. Paint Shop Pro, the first word, is Paint. I'm a literalist,
Painter, Paint Shop, see what I mean? PS doesn't say it's for
painting. Heres my call. The Jasc Engineers, could make one just for
painters, without animate, glass balls, etc, with a powerful paint
engine, and a much better interface, than Painters has, Corel has
umpteen products, as does Adobe, Jasc could do something for Artists,
without any manipulation tools, just a nice big, paint box, full of
nice brushes.
PS, your right on the choices, I didn't have to pick it, and won't
anymore. as I got some more dots on an image. Luckily, I save so many,
there's no danger. Thanks.

That explains a **lot** about your priorities. I won't bother to take your
questions seriously in the future. And I sure as heck won't attempt to
spoon-feed you answers you are too dense or just too lazy to actually use
any more.
My youngest son is old enough to vote. I stopped spoon-feeding little boys

I was right not because I am brilliant, but because I RTM and did a 10
second Google search. (only necessary because you use a different
version than I do) A problem-solving approach you might consider
in the future. You do have a manual, right? It came with your software
license. No additional outlay of resources required. Reading it would
make your use of the software more pleasant and productive.

This is just the literal truth, because of eyes and headaches, I quit
reading novels in '99, and it is very difficult to read anyting long,
like tuts, drive me nuts, that's why, I just invent in stead, sorly
just the facts.
