Hi,

I have been reading about tubes and I don't know if I'm dense or
what, but I'm just not getting what they are, or what they're for.
I've seen some tube webpages, but I still don't understand how you
make them or what one does with them, backgrounds, buttons, or what?
I have version 4.2 of PSP and I'm debating with myself whether to upgrade
or not. Figuring out this tube thing would help in my decision.

I dl'd foliage, flowers & butterfly tubes and made a gorgeous picture by
just click, click, click, no real artistic talent needed. Next, I am going
to experiment with making a background by covering a solid color with tube
pictures.

I am going to be putting up a page soon dedicated to web backgrounds
(not sets like I've done before, just the backgrounds) and will be doing
a section completely devoted to backgrounds I've made with picture
tubes. The whole site will practically be made from picture tube
graphics.

I will post the URL when it's open!

Above is the url to my tube painting, one use for tubes - but only after you've
collected enough of them to build a useable library of image types.

I filled the background with a pale blue color, added a layer, painted it 3/4 of
the way with the shrub tube, varying the size. Added another layer, painted
with the grass tube. Next layer was a sprinkling of color with flower tubes;
rockflower, daisies, roses. Next layer was the fence, a piece of clipart I
made, which I stretched in the horizontal perspective and used a light opacity
to make it look less bright. Next layer was the stone fence, just a slightly
lowered opacity layer of the river stone tube. Next layer was the ivy and
english ivy tubes which cover the fence and stones, opacity lowered somewhat.
Next layer I added a bit more grass around the fence edges at this time. Then a
layer for the butterflies tube.

To finish up, the sky was dusted with the light cloud tube and I copied and
pasted the whole picture into Ulead's Photo Assistant to get that headstone or
iron bottom edge effect and shadow.

In article <35374C47...@texas.net>,

Nice little demo Diana! It gives me the feeling of looking out a window into
a wild garden. I think the peaked arch makes me think "Castle- Medievial",
too.

I'd like to have a place we could put up pictures like that to demonstrate
what can be done!
