Hello all,

I am an CAD tech and have a need to transform a couple solid model
renderings that I created in my 3D Architectural program of some houses to
look like an oil painting. I have imported the BMP's into PSP 5.01 just
fine and have played around with PSP 5.01's existing plug-in filters like
sharpen, dilate and soften as well as others but the ending result is that
my renderings get to muffled, distorted and loose a lot of clarity from the
originally image.

I have spent a whole day trying to achive the desired effect. I really
don't want to have to purchase another paint program to do this. I know
that there must be some way with all that PSP can do either by a plug-in or
internally that can achive an oil painting look with subtle brush strokes
that I have seen other Paint programs be able to do.

I would really appreciate it if someone could share a little of their
knowledge with me as to how to achieve an oil painting look with my
Renderings of Houses inside of PSP 5.01.

Or perhaps is there a plug-in for PSP 5.01 that will do this? A Plug-in
would be great if there is such a thing.

Thanks very much for any help any one could share on how to do this,

There is a free plug-in called Paint Engine that should do exactly what you
want. This is the home page: http://mars.ark.com/~gschorno/machine/

Thanks very much,

You are right indeed this plug-in was exactly what I was looking for. I
had no idea that plug-ins could be so powerful. I have read a lot about
them but have never used them until now.

Thanks again I really appreciate your assistance.

Best Regards

Todd
