Ron,
Thanks for your offer, I'd like to give the water droplet tube a try if
you could e-mail it to me. I still use version 5.01 but I don't see why it
shouldn't be compatible.
Cheers,
Rick

| The PSP 6.0x tubes probably will not work in version 5.0x
This is mostly true--you can't just point PSP5 at your PSP6 tubes folder and
expect it to work. You do have two options:
Option 1: Run the tube converter and check the second radio button "Recreate
Paint Shop Pro 5 tubes.ctl file from Paint Shop Pro 6 tubes. This option is
best if you want to run a batch job and export everything -- it's a fast,
one-step process.
Option 2: Move the relevant PSP6 tubes into the PSP5 tubes folder. Open each
in PSP5 as an image (the browser helps here) and re-export as a PSP5 tube.
This option is best if you only have a tube or two you want to convert back
to PSP5 -- it saves disk space by not duplicating .tub files.
| There is a TubeConverter program that converts PSP 5.0x
| tubes to PSP 6.0x but I don't remember seeing a
| De-Converter listed in any of the folders in PSP 6.0x
Option 1 described above is basically the "De-Converter" you're looking for.

If you are using PSP 6, open the water drops tube file. Select one of the
drops -- switch to paint brush -- custom -- create. At first I thought I
would need to remove the shadows but they add a nice reflective quality.
Depending on your plans for your final image you can get some nice effects
painting the drops in the contrasting color to your background. The tube
files used by themselves are great but they do not allow you to so easily
alter the color.
Hope this works for you, too : )

do you run the exe and install them in a temp folder and run tubes
converter from there?
Thanks for any input

Actually the tube Ron sent me works perfectly fine in PSP 5.0x, I'm still
running version 5.01.
