Sticking in my 2¢ for something I've been meaning to say for a while.... Joe,
your artwork is an inspiration to computer artists everywhere (not to mention
your help in this group) Thank you! BTW, I love the "Spirits" picture..
beautiful! And "the Sea" as well, the wavs are stunning!!! I recently
installed Bryce 3D and made a waterfall which I would like to place mist, where
the waterfall hits the water, but so far, I haven't been happy with anything
I've tried.. I'd be glad to post the image if you (or anyone) may have
suggestions (in other words... heeeeeeeeeeelp!!!) <g> So... anyone interested
in helping out? If so, I'll put it on a page for public *gulp* consumption,
what amounts to my first
"keeper" image of my new program.

Have you tried making a large sphere, using a cloud material and placing it
at the base? Slows render times way down but often works out well :)
try www.brycetech.com www.petersharpe.com for soem good tutorials

I've seen that suggested and I'm going to give it a try, thanks. I keep
forgetting you can apply any material to mostly anything, I should have
remembered because the waterfall is actually made from a terrain object.
Brycetech was the first site I found, excellent site, as well as the
petersharpe one, which is where I found the tutorial for the waterfall, (did it
look familiar? ;-) I've downloaded a bunch of his tuts and I'm working through
them one at a time. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to give it a
try. :-)

What I would do would be to create a new layer and put some cloudy-like
white tufts all around the base of the falls. Put it on real thick
(opaque) nearer the base and fade off as they rise away from it. Then
reduce the opacity of the cloud layer. I did something like this in WET
13 where I drew some smoke rising from a steel cauldron ("Needs more
Garlic"). Try to find a pic of Niagara Falls, or some others on the web
to see how the mist flies away and up from the base of the falls.

Carry on with those "cloudy-like white tufts" and before I
know it you'll be tubing with the best of them. Be careful,
Bill, you're starting to slip... :)

Thanks Bill, I appreciate it! I'm printing this out and will give it a try
tomorrow, I spent the last 2 hours trying and I'm giving up for the night <g>
I'll be fresher tomorrow, I hope. Thanks :-)

Thanks Jo and Kris! Beautiful pictures and I'm sure they will help, I
appreciate it!
I've never heard of the Iguasu falls, they are beautiful! Hey Kris, how am I
going to make my mist if I spend the next 2 hours looking at all of those cool
pictures? And, um, whats that brown stuff in the water? LOL :-) Thanks again.
