<taps "Raj" on shoulder>
Let me give you a good piece of advice, tomodachi:
Don't. Post. Cracker. Links. Here.
Although most of the regulars here are rather good-humored about crack
requests, to even *suggest* obtaining PSP by illegal means is a no-no.
If you want to get PSP, go out and buy it like everyone else here does.
Yours truly included.

JAC: listens to customers, upgrades software regularly, sells at a fair
price.
SOME SFTWARE COMPANIES: charge hundreds or thousands of dollars, demand you
have to put a hardware "dongle" on YOUR machine, have buggy software with
clunky interfaces from hell, don't listen to customers.
If folk sold their stuff at reasonable prices they'd get increased customer
bases, and frankly folk NEED affordable software. PCs aren't flipping games
consoles their incredible tools for creating, and I think it's an
abomination that some twerps charge horrendous prices for software that is
sometimes vital (LINUX free or $30, WIN98 $130??? And how much does Win98
cost you in flipping crashes?)
$100 for a great product is perfectly reasonable. Personally I think it's
long since time there was a serious investigation of software prices, the
industry to me seems crooked to put it mildly. There is also a "snob"
atmosphere, companies/education institutions won't buy cheap, good software,
because it's "cheap", DUH!!!!! They blow thousands or millions on software
that isn't needed/overpriced/outdated/bugged-to-hell, generally cause some
administrator thinks it's gotta be great cause it costs so much (while his
staff are tearing their hair out saying "No it bloody isn't!").
I don't see why any program should be on general sale (as opposed to custom
software) for more than $100. Especially since Net distribution is becoming
more common and takes a huge chunk of distribution costs out for the
company.
Why not make a cut down version of your software that's free or dirt
cheap, that folk can try out, or use if their just playing around with it?
The full version will be bought by those with real need of the program.
There's something else people will really need to think about regarding
software:
1) Why should anyone be denied the right to use an artitistic TOOL, simply
because they can't afford it?
2) The tool in question is electronic, it has no real existance, has little
impact in regards to world resources, you can't really own it (and the
licences state you don't own it anyway you are merely using it on LOAN as it
were)
3) If everyone has the right to freedom of expression, INCLUDING artisitc
expression, but they can't afford an item that literally has no value (it's
electrons after all): is this fair?
This is a serious point people will have to think about and debate. PEOPLE
that is, not companies buying politicians. The Internet and the great
changes in our societies mean that capitolism, as we know it, has to change.
Money will soon become a total abstract, it won't even have a physical
representation anymore. In other words you're buying things with
nothing...doesn't that seem just a tad ludicrous?
The people who create the program deserve recompense. They have the true
copyright of their artistic work, to whit a program. The person who makes
art with it has copyright of THEIR artwork. I think we can all agree on
that? :)
Beyond that it requires debate. I can't OWN my art, it's simple not
possible, I'd be a tad peeved if folk used it for commercial gain, but my
art's there to be viewed, and enjoyed, or heckled and criticized :> Would
you REALLY want to see the Internet where no one can use your work without
your permission, and this is darn near garaunteed cause it's policed so
well, and legislation so tight...??
I've also spotted and heard tell of some interesting things in regard to
copyright: such as websites claiming that anything on THEIR site is THEIR
copyright, and that some software has allegedly got similar conditions
written into it.
What's your opinion in regards to such matters? :)
