Hi

Anyone tried running PSP X2 ult on Win XP 64 bit?

I have just installed it and it runs like a DOG! Unresponsive, especially to mouse clicks and the screen repaints are an absolute joke they are so slow.

PSP V 7.01 runs perfectly on the same machine.

Anyone know if there is a tweak or something that will make this run well or have I just spent the money in vain.

Cheers

Not XP, but I had it on a Vista 64 bit and it ran okay. I then
installed Win 7 64 bit and it runs fine.

On both systems it was slow starting up, but once startup is complete it
runs very nice, faster than on any previous machine, especially on stuff
like some of the filters (sharpening, etc) on an entire, large image.

I've only tried XP 64 once, and I found it generally ran slowly. This
was mainly due to a lack of good 64 bit drivers for the motherboard
chipset at that time. The Microsoft drivers are pretty woeful, and with
them even the 32 bit version of XP runs much more slowly than if the
manufacturer's drivers are installed.

Like I said, it's the best version!
