Somehow I managed to bend my dongle connector.
Now it has failed on Labor Day weekend.

What is the best way to get a replacement dongle in a hurry?

I managed to remove the metal shell and straighten the contacts
enough to plug it into a very short USB extension cable. It worked,
but I don't know for how long.

So, the question above still has some importance.

I've never had the problem, but I'd try the help line 1-800-862-7837, which
of course no one will answer until probably Tuesday, or post this on the
newtek forums and see if anyone is reading them over the weekend.

Thank you. I'll give them a call on Tuesday.

It lives on a short cable to help keep it from getting bent
on the side of the laptop. The whole assembly lives in a
small pocket in the case when it travels. I must have folded
it over when I put it in the pocket.

It still worked when I pluged in the cable, but I was dumb
enough to unplug the bent dongle to assess the damage.
When I plugged it back in the contacts crumpled a little
keeping it from going in. Oh well.

I hope it keeps working until I can get a replacement.
