Hi,
I'm looking for some good graphic artists that would like to join
a project of mine. It's kind of web-page project where I want to
enable a theme manager for change of graphical layout.
I don't know if there will be any money earned on this project,
(if we are lucky we get some sponsors or somebody wants to buy it!)
I think it's more likely that it'll be put out public for open source(GNU
License) when it reaches a certain maturity level.
In case of economical benefits earned
on the project we will try to split it in the fairest way.

Anyway, if you are interested send me a mail at: va...@f2s.com

And it be nice if you can included some information about this:
(not required though!)

* I think it should it be a open-source
* I'm only interested if it's not open-source, if (condition) ..
blabla.. get the point
* I usually use these graphical programs.. etc. photoshop, 3d studio.
* Some sample graphic of previous stuff would be very appreciated.
* If you have done some special experience with previous "similar"
projects
* Other thing you want to include, things that might be interesting.
* What you think about the project

* Availability: I think it could be nice if we all could come to gether
on IRC, or ICQ to have some "meeting about the on going project" if
you have some way of communication for such meeting, you can add it.
(I think it can be hard to have meeting to often, but one can try!)

About the project:
The current version is running at: http://www.valar.f2s.com
It's not completely finished but it got some fancy features,
such as :
*dynamical news
*guest book (edit able for admin)
*user-manager (admin only)
*user profiler (users can subscribe to news)
*link suggester (users can suggest web links)
*link manager (admin can, ban, add, submit suggested links)
*web-statistic (admin only)

Not Finished feature:
*downloads
*user-groups
*security (ssl, backup manager ++)
*subscription manager
*photo gallery
*them manager
*change of main layout (removment of frames)
*++

Currently I'm alone on the project, I used quite a lot of time.
I think I prefer to do the coding my self.

I'm NOT interested in buying graphic, so please don't send me any offers!

(I'm a poor student after all!)

Looks like you have not found any "good graphic artists" that
want to work for free.

Maybe you should try reworking your plan to include payment for
work done...

It is perfectly "fair"... if he is having a problem finding an
artist to do free work, I just suggested that he find a way to
pay the artist, and stop looking for free work to be done for him.

Ivar has had the same ad up in newsgroups before...evidently he
is not getting the "good graphic artists" that he needs.

Maybe offering to pay the "good graphic artists" with "good
money" might help his project.

Think so?

Well I have to say that, I hate doing free work as well, but "Open Source"
projects typically volunteer, and some of them are quite profound.. Maybe
you could outline your project in some detail, and people might be more
interested in contributing..

OOPS I didnt read the original thread... so sorry... Please excuse my
reply.. I was more interested in defending open source than the actual
thread.. I issued a cancel on my orignal post, but Im sure some will see it
and make a BIG deal about it......

anyway.........
