GTK+ or Wacom? Linux seems to have it right.

I am quite sure the problem originates from GTK+, but at the same time I
wonder if Wacom could solve this problem?

Or does this just boil down to poor stylus support in Inkscape, GIMP and
quite possibly any other GTK+ based application?

That's where it gets foggy for me. Ubuntu, Slackware, and a few other
installations that I know of have exceptional support for Wacom and
other input devices. The LinuxWacom project adds support to
installations not currently supporting Wacom devices.

This is really bugging me because the entire reason I bought a tablet
was to increase my efficiency in The GIMP, and Inkscape. Now I find
that for the most part, the tablet is useless. Well, I consider it
useless if I have to constantly lift the stylus to get it to render
again or if the stylus appears to lock up.

Surely the issue of Wacom support on Windows in these applications has
been touched on somewhere? Solution or not...

Hell, I'm not even sure if there is a question amongst this ramble. I'm
just stressing because two of my favorite graphics applications are
still unattainable in my Wacom eyes.
