Subject: GIMP 2.6.3: Toolbox not minimizable
Is there a way to make the toolbox disappear, when all image windows
were sent to the taskbar? Or send the toolbox to the taskbar as well?

Since the change of the toolbox being a add-on to the image-window
instead of being the application-window (like in earlier times) the
toolbox remains visible on the desktop.

Thanks,
Michael

No problem here with Linux as the window capabilities are
property of the window manager (KDE, Gnome et al)

I'd like to know how you are doing that, Frank.  I'm using 2.6.3 on a
slackware 12 box, and I cannot minimize the toolbox:  there is no minimize
icon, and when I right click the title bar, Minimize is grayed out.

Edit ->Preferences -> Window Management -> Hint for the toolbox -> change
to 'Normal window' -> click OK

You must restart Gimp for the 'minimize' button to appear in the toolbox.

thanks. I had a similar issue but this resolved it.

Is there a minimize and restore all button hidden some-wheres too?
