There's no way around it.  I had the same problem and had to install Adobe
Type
Manager Deluxe (which by the way is an excellent piece of software) for
WinNT4.
This will solve your problem and at the same time offer you a good way to
manage
your fonts. (Something Microsoft forgot when they tried to piece together an
OS for
High End graph. workstations.

NT4 converts your Type 1 fonts to TrueType equivalents. Of course, you lose
the hinting. The suggestion to install Adobe Type Manager is a good one and
will ease many headaches.
