I've got 64Mb on a PPro and 256Mb on a K6. Non of the installations works
with CorelDraw8. I've tried several times.

What build of CorelDraw8 are you using?

Nope.

On my systems, the two run together excellently. (Win98 Final Release and
Draw 8 Post-Patch).

Did it work before the patch?

It's version 8.232 and running happily in the background as I type.

None of my apps worked properly with a clean install of Win 98. Corel draw
would crash when attempting a print preview, Office 97 wouldn't even load.
Finally tracked it down to the windows printing system for a Canon bjc 610.
It worked with Win 95. Go figure!. :)

You've got the original release build that was apparently a tad unstable.
(like all Corel initial releases) I've just installed build 8.369 and it
seems very steady. 20mb download though from corel....

Can you tell me specifically where you got the upgrade from? I've got .232,
and I've already "patched" in one rebuild.

The patch?

http://www.corel.com/support/ftpsite/pub/coreldraw/draw8suite/index.htm

It' 20meg and patches both draw and photopaint (but not 3dream). Don't
bother with all the small downloads: they're all rolled into one.

Henrik,

I don't know, to be honest. I never tried it without the patch under Win98.
After the installation, I applied the patch and off I went... <G>

I hope this helps!
