I'm a 3d artist at an architecture firm. I'm starting to research game
engines that we can use to move around interactively in our projects.
I don't need physics or anything super complex. I do need something
that can accept terrain with a lot of polys - typically 50k to 200k
faces. A free or cheap engine would, of course, be preferred. I have
no idea what sort of price I'd be looking at to get a newer engine.
I'm also wondering about the characteristics & relative merits/
problems of some of the different engines that are out there.
Suggestions anybody?
Thanks.
