Wellll! That would solve my hypothetical question of which
(Framemaker or Pagemaker) software package to buy!

Chairman and CEO, Adobe Systems Incorporated. "The acquisition is sound
from both a financial and strategic perspective.  We are very excited
about what this can do for us and our customers in desktop and
electronic publishing,"  continued Warnock. "Our products are
complementary, not competitive. The combination will enable us to
create better, more versatile solutions.  In addition,  it provides
Adobe products with an improved presence in the UNIX market; and, the
Frame products will benefit from Adobe distribution in Macintosh and
Windows markets, as well as internationally.

Adobe PageMaker,  for example, is optimized for documents with high
graphic content on Macintosh and Windows platforms.  In contrast,
FrameMaker focuses on text-intensive technical documentation created on
UNIX platforms. The combination positions Adobe to create even stronger
solutions for both PageMaker and FrameMaker customers."

"This combination serves the respective customers and employees of
Adobe and Frame well. It enhances our technology, and provides the
broadest, most competitive line of product and services in the
electronic document marketplace," said L. George Klaus, president and
CEO of Frame Technology.  "Both companies have always placed great

Adobe shareholder approval is not required. Frame shareholders will vote
on the
acquisition at a meeting anticipated in September 1995. The transaction
is
subject to customary closing conditions. Once the transaction is closed,
the
operations of Frame will be integrated into Adobe, not run as a separate
unit.
