Hi!

Does anybody know of this font?
Which foundry is it, where can I find it?

Thanks in advance,
Rayden

I'm still in the dark, Rayden. It seems you have done your Google
homework before asking.

Keil is not a common font name. And 276 / 286 are not commonly used
numbers in connection with fonts. So it would be useful if you gave some
background info, e.g. on how you got by these names, why you need them,
whether you know what the fonts should look like.

I have an idea that your fonts may have to do with the Gothic Metal band
"Eisheilig". Does that ring a bell?

I've searched with google, but unfortunately with this sparse info, I
wasen't so lucky.

Well, that's my problem. I don't have any further information. I just
received an Email from my boss asking me if I "have oder know a font
called Keil 276 / 286" plus a picture from some kind of canvas cover
for a truck (I attached it).
If I had some more infos, I probably wouldn't ask in this ng ... &)

No, not really. I'm not into Gothic Metal or any Metal at all.
But looking at their website I can say: nope, this isn't the font I'm
searching.

But maybe someone else has an idea when looking at the pic.

Rayden,

Because comp.fonts is a text group, your image was not carried by most
news servers (you may have seen that message on your news server, but
that doesn't mean other people did). If you repost your original
question and image to alt.binaries.fonts, others will be able to see it
and perhaps help you.

As Dick explained ... ;-/
Couldn't see your sample picture here. I had another idea: "Keil..." in
German means cuneiform, so I thought of a font with ancient cuneiform
symbols, but that's not very likely on a truck canvas :-)

You could alternatively put the file on your webspace if you don't get
help in alt.binaries.fonts.

Sorry for the late reply.
I haven't paid attention to what kind of group this is, sorry.
I've upload the pic here ->

Maybe now one recognize this font. :)
Thanks!

Greetings!

Normally 'kell' is used to refer to one of several fonts from the Book
of Kells which means it's usually an insular minuscule font.
You can see a sample of several of these at http://www.fontcraft.com/artype/celtic
- look in particular at the font Glendower for a typical example.

Now the graphic you uploaded has several fonts on it. Which one in
particular were you interested in?
