Hello,

I am running Debian and the .deb wine. The wine config was generated when
trying to run first time notepad; I kind of have the impression that the XP
partition is not taken into account - I had to copy mfc42.dll, msvcirt.dll,
msvcp50.dll into the Eudora folder.

Eudora starts but after displayng the splash, it shows the main screen and
freezes while I am getting a bunch of below messages.

Any idea welcome.

Thanks
a.

I have Eudora 6.2, and it does much the same. Why use Eudora at all when
there are plenty of good e-mail clients for Linux? Eudora uses the mbox
format, and provided you change the end-of-line from Windows format to
Linux format (both KWrite and Kate will do this, and there are command-line
methods), you should be able to import your Eudora mailboxes. I have left
my old Windows mailboxes where they are and started new ones. They could
now all be deleted. Eudora has attachments in a separate folder, while
Linux has them sandwiched between messages, but that is only a temporary
problem.

I use Wine only when there is nothing equivalent under Linux. I don't
believe in trying to make my Windows partition run "as is" under Linux.

Got it up :) I had to copy richedit20.dll, msvcrti.dll, mfc42.dll and other
in the system/ directory; the only problem left is that fonts are not
great, it asks for the Mozilla ActiveX (!?) installed.

I tried a bunch. The only one able to deal properly with multiple accounts
was evolution but calendar keeps crashing - depends on gconf which depends
on some Corba stuff, etc. What are you using?
