I'm trying to use WINE to edit presentations with a church presentation
program called SundayPlus (free demo downloadable from
http://www.sundayplus.com/). It works fine as long as I have Quicktime,
Powerpoint Viewer, and riched20 and riched30 (from winetricks)
installed. Here are the problems, though:

1. The program is not listed in the Gnome Panel's window list, so if it
gets minimized, I can't bring it back.

2. If I use Metacity as the window manager, the SundayPlus window stays
on top of all other windows, even its own dialogs. This means, for
example, that you cannot quit the program because the quit confirmation
dialog is hidden. If I use Compiz, then the windows and dialogs behave
normally.

3. Some colors are wrong in the main SundayPlus window, but this doesn't
interfere with anything.

4. The program is moderately slow to respond to clicks, and video
playback (especially with text-over video) is incredibly slow. SP uses
Quicktime for video, so this seems like more of a Quicktime problem
(which is also slow).

5. I cannot edit the currently running slide file when in
text-over-video mode, but I can when the slide is running on a static
image. Not sure where the problem lies with this one.

I'm using Debian Lenny (stable) i386, with WINE 1.1.33. It's on a Compaq
CQ60-215DX, with an AMD Athlon 64 x2, 1.7Gb of memory, NVIDIA GeForce
8200 integrated video card (512mb video memory - seems to work fast and
smooth in all other situations).

None of these problems exist in Windows (warning: it must be run in XP
or earlier, or in XP-compatibility mode on Vista/Win7 in order to
install and run properly in actual Windows)

If anyone knows how to resolve these problems, I would be incredibly
grateful! Thanks!
