I don't know why it can't find freetype. When I
compile my own "prog.c" I receive no error after:
gcc -o prog.exe -g -O2
prog.c -lfreetype -L/usr/local/lib -lfreetype -lzs
I will appreciate help and also suggestion where to
look for support about it.
My reason for Wine under Cygwin under Vista is that
I have one application for Windows which needs 96DPI
fonts (standard). Unfortunately I permanently run
Vista having 120DPI (large) fonts. So my application
does not work correctly with 120DPI fonts. It is
simple app and I suppose it would run under Wine.
Vista 32 Home Premium Box, Cygwin 1.5.25-15, Wine
1.1.21.

I can't help with the problem; I'm just curious: WHY?

Maybe try on an official Wine mailing list -- there is more traffic there
