Parallel Cable not enough fast!

I have a real 1541 parallel cable. it is fast! but WinVice with parallel
cable emulator is SLOW! HOW COME???

True Drive Emulation is off perhaps?

Are you using drive- and Kernal-ROM files that support the cable? (VICE
emulates only the hardware. You must supply the different ROM-image files.
And then, point VICE to them.)
