Simulator for ARM CPU on Windows ?
|
| |
Hi,
I can profile C code for Blackfin or SHARC in VisualDSP on Windows.
Can I profile C code for an ARM CPU in some similar tool on Windows?
If so, what options (products) are available for this?
Thank you.

Energy efficiency in wireless systems
|
| |
Hi All,
I understand that such questions depend very much on the exact
conditions under which the system is implemented. However, this is a
question related to research and not actual implementation. Therefore, you
are welcome to describe different answers for different conditions.
1. Is energy efficient wireless physical layer = Receiver working at low... more »

Ensemble Kalman Filter

Came across this recently but didn't understand in plain language why it was needed. Does anybody know? Why is a Kalman filter not do the job?

Goertzel algorithm's amplitude shown in DSP
|
| |
Hello, Elwiz
I am a master student of EE in NSYSU, Taiwan.
I have a problem which the same as the past massage "Goertzel algorithm -
elwiz - 2005-10-25 12:49:00" in your website. I use the Goertzel filter to catch 2nd harmonic current written in
DSP28335. And all the results of the 2nd value are proportionally matching... more »

Modulation methods
|
| |
Sirs,
Let me first say that probably this is a very basic question.
In case of modulating carrier signals with data and doing de-modulation at
the receiver, what would be the disadvantage if data is simply added to the
carrier frequency and then performing filtering at the receiver to remove... more »

Autocorrelation rocks for Engine RPM
|
| |
A while ago I posted a question about how to extract pitch information
from the messy sound of an engine. It was for an iPhone app I have
developed which displays the RPM of an engine based on the sound it
makes. Vladimir and other suggested autocorrelation as used in pitch
detection in speech. Thanks, guys! After a long time struggling with... more »

BER and Coding
|
| |
Hello every one.
I have one question about the relationship between BER and error correction
code .
Let we assume the BER = 1e-3. We sent a symbol that length is 10 bits.
If we have error correction code that can correct for example maximum 3 bit
error from the 10 bits. In that case,we can say the improvement in BER =... more »

adding WGN to an oversampled signal
|
| |
Hi All,
I am simulating an 8PSK signal that is oversampled by a large factor, let's
say 20, and I am adding noise to it. Can someone recommend a strategy for
adding WGN to the signal? here are my questions:
1 - I am starting out with Eb/No values but should I use Es/No instead? 2 - and if so, how do I scale Eb/No to get Es/No?... more »

controlling signal power
|
| |
Sirs,
I have read in some of the wireless literatures that certain data are
deliberately transmitted with higher power. However, I dont understand what
increasing the signal power means and where exactly happens.
Does increasing power means simoly increasing the amplitude and in case of
wireless applications, does this happen in RF section of the transmission... more »
