Ethernet Operations, Administration and Maintenance comprise the protocols and features defined in IEEE 802.3ah (now clause 57), IEEE 802.1ag, and ITU Y.1731. These standards allow network failures to be detected, and located, as well as additional tools to measure the performance of the networks. Want to know the details on how Ethernet OA&M works?
