  I would have thought that you configured the sub-interfaces on the &lt;br&gt; port channel only. Not the physical interfaces. &lt;br&gt; By the way as I am sure you &lt;br&gt; know there are two very distinct 8500 models, one &lt;br&gt; very ATM-y and one Ethernet-y and you need to be &lt;br&gt; careful which documentation you look at. CSR? Was &lt;br&gt; decades ago:)

  12.4(15)T11 &lt;br&gt; This is a version in the same train that came with the router originally. &lt;br&gt; Unfortunately it does not contain recent ADSL firmware so I separately &lt;br&gt; downloaded and installed that (adsl_alc_20190_4.0.018.bin). This fixes &lt;br&gt; problems I had with the ADSL line.
