basic question regarding ATM F4 OAM

Hi,

I've a basic question regarding ATM OAM. Suppose I've configured a PVC
between two ATM nodes A and B, but any VCC is not defined on this VP.
Can I transmit F4 OAM Cell on PVC betwen
Node A and B?

Short anwser is yes.

But you might not be able to source or sink them in node A or B. It
depends on the connection point type node A and B are to determine
what type of F4 cells you can source or sink there. If node A and B
are no VP connection end points, you cannot source or sink a F4 end-to-
end cell in A or B.
