Conference name: Special Session on Recurrent Neural Networks for
Modelling and Simulation - RNNMS 2012

In conjunction with the 2nd International Conference on Simulation and
Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications - SIMULTECH
2012

Venue: Rome, Italy

Conference date: 28 - 31 July, 2012

Co-Chairs:

Petia Koprinkova-Hristova
Institute of Information and Communication Technologies
Bulgaria

Mohamed Oubbati
Institute of Neural Information Processing University of Ulm
Germany

SCOPE
This session invites authors to submit their works on study, analysis,
design, modeling and implementation of RNNs, both theoretically and in
a broad range of application fields. Papers presenting investigations
and simulation applications of all known kinds of RNNs, i.e. recurrent
multilayer perceptrons, Hopfield, Jordan and Elman networks, fully
recurrent networks, Echo state networks, bi-directional RNN,
hierarchical RNN, continuous time RNN, etc. as well as newly proposed
architectures are invited. The session scope includes but is not
limited to the following topics:
• Recurrent neural networks architectures
• Training algorithms of recurrent neural networks
• Stability analysis of recurrent neural network models
• Complex systems modeling using recurrent neural networks
• RNN simulation platforms for scientific and industrial applications
• Industrial applications of recurrent neural network models

Extended versions of accepted papers presented at the Workshop will
appear in as a Springer book chapter. A selection of high quality
papers will be proposed to be submitted as an extended version for a
special issue of an international journal to be specified later.
Selected papers will be considered for publication in the British
Journal of Educational Technology and other selection of high quality
papers will be proposed to be submitted as an extended version for a
special issue of the international journal Journal of Universal
Computer Science J.UCS
