I notice that apress.com has a sale, today only, where all their ebooks
are available for $15.
One I especially like is Applied Mathematics for Database Professionals
(even though I'd never want to call myself a professional) by de Haan
and Koppelars. The introductory chapters alone come closer than most
authors to giving the reasons for the advantage oF Codd's theory in the
first place.
