Background:
We are currently changing our database from Microsoft SQL Server 4.2 on
OS/2 v 1.3 to Sybase System 10 on Windows NT v 3.5. We have several C
programs that interface data to other non-database systems (Vax DCL &
Dos files). The C programs were written in C version 6.0 with
DB-Library using rldblib.lib.

Question:
We can get these programs to work using old lib version from Sybase. Should
we convert these programs to use the new libraries? Will things run
faster and be more reliable with the newer version? Has anyone run into
this problem as well? If so, what did you need to do to upgrade to the
new libraries? Was it worth it, etc?

Any advice welcome! Thanks.

Hello Everyone !

How can I turn off OEMTOANSI translation in call of DB-Lib functions ?
Option in automatic OEMTOANSI (Client configuration utility) is off.
