Can a view be used inside a derived tables? 
  Hi all, We have a Nortel symposium telecoms system which uses Sybase to store details of all the calls etc. Now, Symposium does not allow access to the tables so we have to use pre-configed views. Reloading a 12.5 Dump into Sybase 15 causes failures on sprocs that reference object id's from a previous db version 
  Hello, Are you guys aware of any problems surrounding object id's and how they are created in Sybase 15, when loading data from Sybase 12.5 xxx? We have found it to happen when a 12.5 dump gets loaded into the Sybase 15 server. Problem with Java/Sybase Connectvity

Calculating Space 
  Hi there I am a junior dba - still trying to learn as much as I can. I would like to calculate the current size of my DB as well as my DB server. Question regarding bcp 
  Hello, We use bcp to populate data in tables. Tables have partition for each week. Problem is sometime by error we get Future's data. So while bcp throws error that "one or more Rows do not belong to any partitions" and then it aborts bcp command. because of none of records in file get loaded. My question is there any way to stop this so that bcp will ignore that record... more »

Procedure cash... 
  When i load to database a big file I have error: not enough procedure cash. I change the procedure cash and try to load file again. Then the sybase start to work slowly. Whatcan do that it works quickly?
