Hi guys, Is possible define a new instance variable ? The idea is get the value of "UPDATE_FLAG"(I invented this name this dont exists in ORACLE) at any time ? I know i can do this thorough a tabela, but i only know if exists this concept. Regards, Paulito

Looking for tips and best practices for upgrading OEM 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.5 on an 8 core Sun v490. It's currently monitoring about 60 hosts and 140 databases, some of which are critical production systems. I want to keep the down time to a minimum. Does anyone have an idea of how much down time is necessary to perform such an upgrade?... more »

Hello! I would like connect to database which is located in USA from private home. I don`t have Oracle licence. Is there any possiblity to use Oracle client and use some application to connect to American Oracle database? I`ve heard that I should use Oracle client and SQL Plus which are freeware?
