I am on HP UNIX 11.23 using Oracle 11.7. My file system is 16GB and it is 95% full and keeps growing. I am however unable to find which file(s) are causing this problem.

I use find command:
Find . –mtime -2 –size +100 –print
I find all files which were modified in last 2 days whose size is greater than 100K and I do not see any.

I consider myself pretty decent with Postgres and MySQL. But I'm really struggling with Oracle, clearly because the administration model is really different.

I've very little experience with Oracle. A week ago, I was given a 150GB Oracle dump and asked to import it into our MySQL (I know: horror) database.

I'm posting this discussion here, because of the moderator on one of the
LinkedIn forums. The post that has probably irritated the moderator was
the following:

"Nuno, everything is virtual these days. The mere word "virtual" sells
things. With the advent of the little blue pill produced by Pfizer, even

Certain dynamic sql statements make stored procedures "forget" transaction?

 Hi

Pleae see the code below. The grant statement causes the stored
procedure to fail to roll back when raise_application_error is called.
(Presumably this is because the grant includes a commit?)
Is there a way to workaround this - that is rollback the changes in
the stored procedure when a subsequent exception is thrown after such

I am converting a database from its current character set WE8ISO88591 to AL32UTF8
I am using NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS to CHAR so I do not have to increase column lengths.

I follow Oracle instructions:
144808.1
313175.1

Except import which takes way too long.

I took a full export of WE8ISO8859p1 Database and now importing it in AL32UTF8.
