Patch Set Update doesn't increase version number

Hello,
I recently installed the second PSU for Oracle 10gR2 but I noticed
that, although the patch set update installed fine, my database
version number hasn't increased in dba_registry and opatch
lsinventory.
Is this the expected behavior or did something go wrong during the psu
installation?

Pretty well documented in metalink DOCs ( if one can actually login
eh ? ) ... it is expected behavior.
Once you start going down the PSU path the CSU path is probably no
longer viable.
