Oracle keeps that kind of data stored in a control file.
You could recreate your control file, or just move your data
files.
As you level of Oracle knowledge seems close to zero (no pun
intended), I suggest:
- make a backup: shut down all oracle services from the Windows
services (used to be in the Control panel).
- copy all files, related to oracle to a safe location
- search the internet for "Oracle move datafiles"
- As an alternative, do a "backup controlfile to trace" and
take it from there. Regard it as a learning experience

ohh dear much thanx for that but u cant say that my knowledge is zero
it smz zero.......but due to not practicing it i forgot it because of
my study i cant give much time to it.....now i m free and practising a
bit, veiwing my notes a bit and i remember we had learned the
recreation of control file but i think that was for recovey purpose
for exmp if it was not multiplexed we will recreate it from trace file
info(pre executed command is must) if damaged etc but i learned what u
suggested and understand the prob because pfile direct the path of
control file most importantly and the wrest is control file work so
dear much thanx

Because Oracle says it isn't. Check the MOS certification matrix and
prove it to yourself.

And that gets YOUR installation to work for a while. Since Oracle
cannot provide a method which always results in a working 10gR2
installation on Windows 7 it is NOT a supported operating system for
10gR2.

For the time being it works. When it doesn't Oracle will not provide
support to get you running again.
You are on your own.

Put in some virtual environment on your windows 7 box ( like suns
virtual box perhaps which is free ).
Install a supported os on that virtual environment and go from
there ... otherwise ... yoyo ( your on your own ) ...
o thnx dear
i will try to do this ok tcr
Looks like your Keyboard is no longer supported, either.
Or it is just breaking down.

I think Frank means that short words like "u" instead of "you", "pls"
for "please", "wanna" for "want to" etcetera are not considered to be
"well written". I'm sure his Pushto is a lot worse than your
English...(don't know about his Urdu though) Some people just hate to
see sms-language and other "slang" enter the forums. But if you have to
learn English from songs, films and Internet, it may just seem normal
English to you.

Ah, this is an outdated document, needs an update urgently. It does not
