Description: ORACLE FUSION MIDDLEWARE ADMINISTRATOR, WASHINGTON, DC
Our Client in Washington, DC, is looking for an Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator on a Temp-to-Perm basis. (6 Months)
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily system administration tasks to include installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches.
• Provide troubleshooting skills on customer system while maintaining data files and monitoring of system configuration to ensure data integrity.
• Resolve software related problems.
• Install Application patches, updates and tech bulletins within production, development and test environments.
• Daily administration of Oracle Application Server, OID, SSO and related Oracle AS Technologies.
• Implement/update security configurations and processes for OID and Oracle AS Technologies.
• Actively monitor Oracle Enterprise Manager for overall Oracle AS health.
• Keep current with new Oracle technologies.
• Routinely measure and report Oracle AS performance and up-time metrics.
• Implement and test backup strategies for Oracle AS Technologies.
Requirements:
• Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator with minimum 3 years hands on experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware.
• Plan, design, install, configure, tune Oracle Fusion Middleware and database environments.
• Maintain and administer middle tier systems including trouble shooting and performance tuning. Responsibilities include design, build, tune, install, configure and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion Middleware.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Oracle OID server.
• Additional responsibilities will include hands-on system administration, system maintenance and operations support of JAVA/J2EE applications on Sun Solaris/Windows 2003 for development, test and load balanced production environments.
• Must have worked with load balancer technology, preferably F5.
• This position requires a self-sufficient system administrator capable of performing most of the tasks listed with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.
Skills/Experience:
? Ability to perform basic systems administration for both Windows and Unix systems.
? Minimum 3 years Oracle Fusion Middleware administration.
• Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Oracle.
• Oracle application server administration and troubleshooting.
• Windows 2000/2003.
• Able to script in UNIX and modify scripts as necessary for automation and configuration management.
• Experience in managing load balancers a plus.
• Experience with source code builds and automating development environments.
• Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Team oriented and able to operate with minimal supervision.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a project-based team environment.
• Experience working within a process improvement environment such as CMMI or Six Sigma.
• Experience with best practice methodologies such ITIL.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Customer focused with dedication to customer satisfaction.
Education & Qualification:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Supervisory Responsibility, if any: None
