Description: Our client in Horsham is currently searching for a Senior Application Developer that will be responsible for developing and supporting interactive TV and web applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
As the lead (or only) member of an applications development team:
• Analyze existing business processes, designing automation where necessary.
• Assume the lead responsibility in the design and creation of flexible data models in an RDBMS environment using Oracle and SQL Server.
• Assess business and technical requirements from interactions with internal clients and external organizations.
• Design, build, and maintain needed system software to support complex web, cell, VOD, and interactive TV applications.
• Responsible for users’ problem reports, performs problem analysis and implements solutions on complex software applications; leads team of developers in diagnosing and implementing solutions to complex system-level problems.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5-6 years of development experience in Oracle, SQL and PLSQL, with experience in Oracle 8/9i.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ADO.
• Must have experience in performance tuning using ExplainPlan, TKPROF and Profiler.
• Experience in Solaris environment with good Shell scripting skills.
• Experience in SQL Server, .Net, C#, Java, XML is a plus.
• Proficient in project and resource management.
• Ability to translate business objectives into programming initiatives and requirements.
• Experience in cable TV, Video on Demand, on-line advertising.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
