From talking to Geraint Jones I have just found out about the auditdb
-internal_data flag. (Second day in a row I've learnt something new!)

It seems auditdb can choose that mode automatically too. Does anyone
know under what circumstances?

The DB was inconsistent but it was forced consistent before running
auditdb.

Hi Roy,

Had a quick look and I can't see it being turned on automatically.
-internal_data sets a flag JSX2_INTERNAL_DATA and AFAICS it's the only
thing that sets that flag. JSX2_INTERNAL_DATA triggers the output of
LSNs and tids basically and I also looked to see if that was output
under other circumstances but again can't see it.

Is it possible someone set an alias for auditdb that included the flag?

Regards
Paul

The -all flag displays LSNs too, as Marty's pointed out to me this
moring.

I'd be astonished. I'll try to find out though.

So it does.

So if you use -all you get the records in the format that rollforwarddb
-v uses (both call dmd_format_log), whereas auditdb -internal_data adds
an LSN stamp to the usual auditdb output.

Cheers
Paul
