[Info-Ingres] Issue building and ABF image (first time) on Linux

Hi all,

I trying to build an abfimage on a SuSE 10.3 system the application works OK when run from within ABF.

However when I try to create an image I get the following error - for completeness I have included the complete terminal output.

The application builds and runs OK on our current VMS platform.

Has anyone seen this behaviour - or can anyone suggest how to go about tracing the error? We did have issues earlier where imageapp was looking for "gnu/stubs-32.h" which was not installed on our system. (it is now). See the bottom of this note for our exact Ingres version.

E_AB0020 Link failed
    The link failed with status '2'.  This could mean either that the linker
    could not be run or that it ran and returned an error.

E_AI0002 The application image was NOT built.
    An earlier error prevents the application image from being built.
    Correct the cause of the earlier error and then run imageapp again.

You might take a look at $II_SYSTEM/ingres/files/utld.def to see if
there are
any obvious goofs in it. Also, check abflnk.opt, and if you are
using a link
options string in abf, check that too.

talked too soon .........
When I run the exe I get

Segmentation fault

Is there something I need to do in the options file  - I don't have one now I removed the VMS options file ???
