Subject: Conecting to Oracle 7.13
Hello everyone...

I would like to write a DB2 function which opens a connection to and
calls a function in an Oracle DB. Unfortunately I am VERY new to DB2. If
I understand the 'help' correctly, to write a function in DB2 you have
to write it in Java or C etc..... seems quite complicated to me. I don't
know how to make the connection to the Oracle DB and i don't know how to
write the function.

Is there a simple way to do this ? Both DBs are running on AIX Unix
servers. The DB2 function should be able to accept a value back from
Oracle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ashley

IBM's Datajoiner would help you to connect to both databases at the same
time.
