Hey, didn't even noticed that, shame on me. Congrats!

Coming from someone with your knowledge and skills, I take that as a big
compliment. In the past I indeed have given it some consideration, but to
be honest: I don't see my self as a speaker for an IDUG audience. It
simply isn't in my nature to speak to an audience larger than a handful.
I rather would write an article (for a magazine or a blog or such) but
even then I would have difficulties of finding a subject that
a) I am able to write something interesting on.
b) isn't already covered by others.
c) wouldn't violate my NDA's with either my employer or more importantly
our customers I work for.
Another factor is that I have to divide my time between DB2 on z/OS and
DB2 on LUW (and until about 2 years ago also Oracle), which leaves ample
time to experiment with new features or such.
Not complaining though, I'm happy to still have a very fulfilling job...

What's wrong with:
a) good weather
b) delicious food
c) help to balance the European economy between North&South ;-)
Having said that...
I visited IDUG Athens in 2007 and according Wikipedia:
"After 14 consecutive years of economic growth, Greece went into
recession in 2008."
May be that's why I am not allowed to visit IDUG since... ;-)
