Hello, I am trying to create a copy of my runtime solution {FMP 5} on Windows 8. I have been able to add the extension .US8 for years on versions prior to W8. I have several custom solutions stored for my users and Windows has never complained when I tried to add the extension to a new fileset. Today however, when I click Next after specifying the extension, Windows objects that it is in use with another program and won't allow me to continue. I need to do this with a repaired file for a user so it will work with his good files. Is there a way to override this? I am logged in as an admin.... more »

in einer Tabelle stelle ich ein Feld bereit, in welches z.B. ein Gewicht, ein Alter o.ä. eingetragen wird.
Wie muss die Tabelle aussehen (eine neue?), damit ich in einem anderen Layout den Mittelwert o.a. statistische Funktionen ausgeben kann.... more »

transfere data from base1 to base2 via script

Hi group,
I use FP10 an Win7. I have 2 databases base1 and base2 who are related by the fields F1 and F2. The main base is base1 where I enter all main data. Additional data is in base2. Via a portal I can see data from base2 in base1.
Until now I do the creation and dataentering in base2 all by hand which is laborious when you have more than one dataset to work on.... more »

Text formatting

I am creating a new layout and i have all the text formatting set but the text appears to big on one particular field, even when I print it. Being that I have all the fields set to allow NO EDITING on this new layout and the text format matches all of my other fields, the text still apears to big.... more »

Hello,
I have a user who wants to run my FMP 5 runtime solution on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 machine. She says she has downloaded it and cannot get it to start. The solution otherwise works without complaint froom W98 thru Windows 8. Has anyone had any luck on Windows tablets? Don't have one here to check with.... more »

Filemaker Adv 12 v 12.0v4, MacOS X 10.8.3
Unable to create working runtime file. Had no trouble creating runtime solutions in earlier versions, but get an error and it does not work in this setup.
I am able to create working runtime file of same database solution in same version of FMA on Windows XP SP3. No problem. But it does not work... more »
