The usual keyboard combination given in System preferences>Keyboard
doesn't work in FM. Is there another that does?

Command-` (Command with reverse quote, standard key for this on the Mac)
works fine for me in two versions of FM Pro I have handy (11 and 12) and
I don't recall any problem using it in versions at least as far back as
6.

Some more context might be helpful to understand your problem: which
version of FMP, and which window is at the front?

An obvious explanation is if you have a window open which is a modal
dialog, such as Define/Manage Database. You have to click OK or Cancel
to close that window, and while it is active, no other open windows for
the same instance of FMP can be activated, therefore the "move focus to
next window" command is ignored.

My Danish keyboard layout is (or used to be) born with Command-> for
that, but even when I change the command in System Preferences, it still
doesn't work in FM

Your key combination doesn't do it for me.

Not the case. Mac OS X 10.6.8. FileMaker Pro Advanced 12.0v3.

Realizing now, that I've got other errors, so I think I need to
reinstall the program and test again.
