Problm after install PSQL 9.5 on Win2003Server

Hi, we tried to install PSQL 9.5 SP2 on a Win2003Server. We do that with *local* admin-rights. We use "complete install". The Install runs seemingly(!) without problem. After install the relation engine test fails. We looked to the PCC and there we see under engines our server (RZ-LIMS1), but under Databases there is nothing.... more »

Record vs page locking in V8 of Btrieve

We are encountering some unexplained and unexpected locking issues. We have reviewed all our locking strategies and 'believe' they are sound. However we seem to get interfering locks when we access 2 records that were created closely together in time and their keys are quite close together in value.. Hi, we observe on a Win2003-Server R2 SP1, running PSQL 9.50.077.002 sometimes, that the btrieve close-command b_close (1) does not return, i.e. the programm hangs in BTRCALL.DLL. I would like to set up a Linked Server in my SQL Server to access an accounting database running in P.SQL V9. Reading over the posts here I conclude that the KB articles on the Pervasive site are outdated, and that the OLE DB driver should work these days. Is this correct? I hope it is, because the tables I need to access are very large and indexes... more »

We just noticed a problem with Backup Agent: Our application is using Pervasive Data Provider for .NET and database files are just opened if needed, meaning the database files are NOT constantly open.
