I think Stream Eye from Elecard/Moonlight Cordless is a great application. It allows me to analyze MPEG 1, MPEG 2 and H.264 files / streams. It displays the sizes of the I, P and B frames, and allows me to examine the individual frames, and display the bits/macroblock, motion vectors, etc.
Unfortunately it doesn't work for MPEG 4. Any suggestions for an MPEG 4 analyzer?

It's not free, but there is a demo version, though I've no idea what its limitations are. (I have to state an interest here, I used to work with the guys who wrote this bit of software :-)

Thanks.
It looks good, but is now sold by Tek, and costs $16k. A wee bit rich - perhaps my client will go for it, but I doubt it.
Any other suggestions? I hadn't realized quite what a bargain the Elecard stuff was.

Oh, I thought they still sold it under their own badge as well, might still be worth getting in touch if you haven't already (no, I'm not on commission!).
Anyway, there is another commercial one by Mindego (www.mindego.com) but it only does MPEG-4, not the others you listed.
I'm sure I remember there was another one as well, I'll have to dig around my bookmarks over the weekend.
