I installed Office 97 Pro, was running Word, and went to Help/about to
see the version. It played a sound and my system crashed. After I
rebooted, I ran Scandisk to find missing files. It would hang sometimes.
I tried scanning all of my partitions. Finally, I was able to scan a
partition, but it found a mistake and said I had to restart Scandisk for
Windows to change something. The error was supposed to have been
converted to a file, but I can't find it anywhere.

I've also noticed that the hidden files I have in all of my directories,
*.ffo,*.ffx,*.ffa,etc. have been replaced with "ffastun" in front of the
extension. My Win95 partition only has one of these.

Now, when I boot to Win95, my harddrive LED just keeps flashing. If I go
to System Monitor, CPU usage is at a constant 100%!!??? Could something
be wrong with my FAT tables?

I ran Norton8.0 Disk Doctor in DOS mode (dual-boot setup), and it said
all of my files allocated sizes were wrong on every drive!!??

What's going on? Everything seems to run okay, but I can't run a Win95
Scandisk (DOS version of scandisk reports no errors), my CPU usage is
100%, and my HD LED goes haywire! PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!

Thanks,
-JH

My system: AMD 5x86-133, 16 MB RAM, WD 1.6GB HD, Conner 850MB HD.
