For the past several weeks, I have been consistently getting a blue
screen accompanied by the following message and I haven't a clue as to
what to do about it:

A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C027BF73 in VXD VWIN32(04)
+ 0000291F. The current application will be terminated.

Any solutions, suggestions, ideas or information about this error will
be greatly appreciated (post or e-mail). I have the following
hardware setup:

Pentium 166, 32 MB RAM, 512K L2 cache
Matrox Millenium 4MB, Bios 2.5
Soundblaster AWE32
Teac 6x CDROM
Windows 95
DirectX and DirectX2
Matrox Millenium 3.30 driver set
SoundBlaster SDR-95UPD-1-US (Revision 6) driver updates
EMM386 Memory Manager
Award 2/6/96 Bios
Microsoft Serial Mouse and 9.01 driver

Frequent random crashes are often caused by problems with the L2 cache
and/or RAM. You can disable your L2 cache from within CMOS, and Microsoft
suggests one method of testing for faulty RAM by creating a RAM drive. For
more information, go to http://www.microsoft.com/kb/ and search on faulty
and RAM. Good luck. /rm

Well, it was running fine before? Then what software did you install just
prior to the FE's first occurrence? Is it only the one FE? When does it
happen?

Do you have virus software loading at startup? Is it McAfee? Did you update
the DAT file recently? Try telling your virus checker not to load at
startup...see if you're still getting the FE...
