If so, I'm looking for the Waffle Unix version, would be happy to
purchase it off someone.

Unix IS the "unix version of Waffle". Email, files, uucp. What does Unix lack?

Mostly the user interface and hilarious documentation plus retro
value.

The user interface is equally bad for command line (modem access) unix,
and you haven't read many Unix man pages.

Will you require your users to have Hayes Smartmodems to call in?

We bought waffle back in 1993 or 1994.

I don't remember that much about it except there was a "free" version (maybe
msdos?) and the unix version cost something. Maybe the other way around.

Pretty sure we never used it because it wasn't really too good and had a
large number of bugs, easy to interrupt out of anything and drop to shell.

I don't remember any printed documentation besides the README's on the disk.

There is a snowballs chance in hell I still have the 5 1/4" floppy
somewhere, if it turns up will post back.

The dos version I guess is still being passed around...
