RISCs and real-time operating systems

My thesis involves building a single board computer and porting a real-time
operating system to it. After reading some information about VxWorks by
Wind River Systems, and discovering that it has support for the SPARC and
the 80960, the focus of my thesis has shifted to RISC processors.

Are there any other real-time operating systems that support RISC processors?
Who manufactures the SPARC?

There is iRMK960 from Intel, and VRTX960 from Ready Systems.
