Subject: Xilinx Artix-7 availability
did anybody hear something about the availability about the Xilinx Artix-7 series?

Especially I am interested in the XC7A8 or XC7A15 in the FTG256 Package.

regards

Expect genaral availablity somewhere around 2013.

ISE 13.4 still has no BSD files for Artix-7...

Look at how long ot took for Spartan-6, Spartan-3XX etc...

The small parts have been removed from the product table recently
http://www.xilinx.com/publications/prod_mktg/Artix7-Product-Table.pdf
leaving only the biggest 3 parts on the list. You might speculate what
is happening but it might be the Spartan-6 is good enough for this
sector and they don't do a gen7 set of parts here. Equally well they
may have other plans.

Whatever is left in th family is probably 6+ months away until we see
ES silicon and longer for production volumes.

Are those devices still going to be offered?

The latest datasheet has the smallest Artix device as the XC7A100T,
which is larger than the smallest Kintex device.

Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with Xilinx, and I'm fairly sure that you
will be told...
