I'm doing an overview of the FPGA market.
Does anyone know a review which compares the FPGA's of the leader
vendors in the market today(ALTERA,XILINX,ACTEL,ORCA etc.)?

Are you willing to share this overview with us ?
You would get some unbiased or biased opinions, since several of us are
not shy and willing to agree or disagree with you.

I want to say it once more: It is a joy to be a part of this
professional group, where controversial subjects are being discussed in
a reasonably civilized manner. Intelligent people know how to disagree
without getting personal or vulgar about it. Life would be boring if we
all had the same opinion.

Please post any findings. I would be particularly interested
in objective benchmarks for all the traditional parameters
(routability, etc.) as well as non-traditional, but otherwise
equally useful metrics such as ease-of-use of tools, changeability,
etc.

Thanks,
Tom Jones

In article <32B9E9...@aspect.com>, tjo...@aspect.com says...
Programmable Electronics Performance Corp. at http://www.prep.org are
supposed to be an objective comparision of some of this.
Their benchmarks may or may not compare everything you need and there is
some controversy in the FPGA world about how well they compare the parts.
It might aide your research, though.
