<< We've noticed that customers who have purchased or rated "Robot
Builder's Sourcebook : Over 2,500 Sources for Robot Parts" by Gordon
McComb have also purchased "Love and Sex with Robots: The Evolution of
Human-Robot Relationships" by David Levy. >>
Of course, I just __had__ to check out this new possibility!
In the description for the book, it says, "Levy makes a compelling and
titillating case that the entities we once deemed cold and mechanical
will soon become the objects of real companionship and human desire."
Gordon!! I had no idea! Been awhile since we've talked on newsgroups
(and I __have__ bought your books), but it looks like your customer
base is ... well, an 'exotic' group. If you do create a new edition
of the Sourcebook or Bonanza books, perhaps you'll need to include
something for these folks to further broaden your base of appeal!
I hadn't expected this kind of irony from Amazon ...
;)

HAHAHA! That's funny!
But not quite as funny as when Amazon took text ads on their book pages,
and had links to hentai for at least one of my books. I wrote them a
very stern letter, and reminded them that robotics and electronics
how-to books are often purchased and read by individuals under 18. (The
links were removed about three hours later, never to return.)
Leave it Amazon to look for every way possible to milk the same rock
over and over again!

This sort of thing can be very embarrassing. When I was applying for
my current job, I printed out the amazon.com page for my first book
and used it as part of my portfolio. I noticed while reviewing my
papers before the interview that people who bought my [embedded
systems] book also bought books such as "The Internet Escort's
Handbook, Vol. I".
I've read all of your books. It is your own damn fault for being such a
sexy writer.
:-P
