In a paper on Extreme Learning Machine by Guang-Bin Huang, he uses Moore Penrose Generalized Inverse for calculating the weights of the nodes connecting the hidden layer and output neurons. I would like to ask why did he use this particular method as my professor pointed out that their exists better methods to solve Linear problems of the type mentioned.
